Extended Day Programs

Overview

Staten Island Academy offers two extended day options to parents for their children. The Extended Day program provides cost free child care service for parents of students in Grades PreK - 8. The program begins at 7:00 AM daily. Breakfast is available from 7:00-7:45 AM for students through Grade 4. Students are escorted to their classrooms at 8:10 AM. The afternoon session begins at dismissal and ends at 7:00 PM. Quiet homework time is made available along with indoor and outdoor activities. A snack is provided in for Grades PreK - 4 and Grades 5 - 8 are allowed to visit the Patrick Commons in the morning and the Concession Stand in the afternoon.

Note: Parents must send a written request to the classroom teacher, or call the Lower or Middle School Office no later that 2:30 PM if they wish their child to attend Extended Day.

After School Adventures Program
The Academy also offers a range of fee-based activities for students after school in the Adventures program. The courses offer students a variety of music, creative art, science and physical education experiences. The program is co-ed, age appropriate and taught by instructors with special training.
