ALUMNI OVERVIEW
Greetings, SIA Alumni! David Lesser, who has spent the last year working on alumni projects here at the Academy, has moved on to pursue another opportunity. As we move forward into the 125th Anniversary, with the gala celebration planned for next April, we have opened a search to fill the position of Alumni and Parent Coordinator. This is a great way to get involved with the school and a perfect opportunity for someone with great people skills who might be looking to enter the world of development and alumni relations. We are beginning to interview candidates next week and hope that a member of the SIA family might be interested in joining the team. I look forward to hearing from those who are! Download complete job description. Happy summer, Michael Barret Jones Alumni are important members of the Academy community. Some alumni graduated as "lifers" after fourteen years at the school. Others attended for a brief time. Anyone who has attended our school, remains a member of the Academy community for a lifetime. Since 1884, thousands of students have attended the Academy. Our graduates have gone on to attend the finest colleges and universities, and are leaders in all walks of life including business, medicine, law, publishing, public service, education, the arts and sciences, and technology. Generations of families have entrusted their children to the Academy. We are especially proud that in 2006-2007, our student body includes 11 children and grandchildren of alumni. We hope you find these alumni pages informative. You will find information on the Alumni Association, upcoming alumni events, and ways you can give back to your alma mater. These are your pages, so please send us your suggestions and comments. 2008-2009 will mark the 125th Anniversary of Staten Island Academy.
