Sports Successesline

We are mighty proud of our Tigers!

Here is a quick glance at some of their most recent successes on the courts and fields:

  • The Academy Girls’ Basketball Team won the ACIS league championship in 2009.
  • The Academy Girls’ Soccer Team won the PSAA league championship in 2009.
  • The Academy Boys’ Soccer Team was PSAA league Playoff Champion in 2009.
  • The Academy Girls’ Soccer Team was PSAA league Playoff Champion in 2009.
  • The Academy Boys’ Tennis Team is the Staten Island Tennis League Champion and Playoff Champion, and ACIS League Champion. The team was undefeated with 21 wins in 2009!
  • The Academy Boys’ and Girls’ Varsity Basketball Teams have been selected for the NYSAIS State Tournament in each of the past three years.
  • The Academy Golf Team held league and playoff titles in 2007 and 2008.
  • Two of our graduates are currently playing Division I sports at college -- one playing soccer at Davidson College and the other playing JV basketball and crew at Harvard University.
  • Eighteen students were recruited to play sports in college, in either Division I, II, or III athletics.
